Takeley

Takeley is a rural West Essex village, close to the charming market towns of Great Dunmow and Bishop’s Stortford. The local area offers a good range of shops and leisure amenities as well as excellent primary and secondary schools. It’s also close to the beautiful and historic Hatfield Forest, ideal for weekend walks and bike rides.

Takeley has excellent transport links. It’s just two miles to Stansted Airport (there is no aircraft noise) and less than 45 minutes on the high-speed railway link to London’s Liverpool Street. The village is two miles from the M11 with easy access to the M25 and to Cambridge in only 40 minutes, and the East Coast on the A120 in under 45 minutes.

Directions

From Juction 8 of the M11, travel east along the B1256 signposted Takeley. Proceed through the traffic lights at the Four Ashes Pub and at the first roundabout turn left onto Roding Drive, at the T Junction turning right on to Fleming Road and left onto Broadfield Road and The Oaks will be found at the end on the left.

From Great Dunmow, take the B1256 to Takeley. As you approach Takeley, at the 2nd round onto Roding Drive, at the T Junction turning right on to Fleming Road and left onto Broadfield Road and The Oaks will be found at the end on the left.
